Why This Matters
Our Kids Are Being Shaped Every Day.
By their classrooms. By their screens. By their friends. By every voice that gets to them before we even realize it's happening.
We love our kids. We take them to church. We pray with them at night. We show up for every game and recital. But here's what most of us don't talk about: there's a difference between loving your children and intentionally discipling them.
Discipleship is the conversation at the kitchen table after a hard day. It's the car ride where you ask the real questions. It's sitting together with no phones, no TV, and saying: let me tell you who God says you are. It's not just Sunday morning. It's Monday through Saturday too.
The Mud & The Mirror was born from a real moment. My own children were baptized in September 2024. The water dried. Life went on. And the questions started coming — What does it really mean? Am I still bad when I mess up? Does God see the mud or the mirror?
I didn't find a book that answered those questions the way a parent would — around the dinner table, in the garage, in the everyday. So I wrote one.
March 7th is the launch of that book. And it's an invitation to bring your family back to the table.
